As a result of Ofcom regulations, in the stage of pre-production of the audio product we would have to have a production meeting where we would clarify that the content include in the pre-watershow show would be appropriate and not break any of the Ofcom guidlines to avoid offending listers and recieving complaints.
This means that, when editing the audio product recordings, any recordings that feature sexism, racism, profanity, slander, defamination or any other content that could be deemed as offensive, must be removed from the show before it airs.
If the audio product does not meet this expectation by not removing any offensive content before the show is broadcast, the show and the station could easily face legal proceedings.
